Cufflinks for the Groom and the Father of the Bride
At the beginning of 2022 a lovely customer asked me to make a pair of custom sage coloured seaglass earrings for her friend. She chose this colour as it matched her friends wedding colour scheme and she hoped to wear them on the big day!
Fast forward to a month before the wedding and the Bride herself contacted me and asked for two matching pairs (as matching as seaglass can get!) of cufflinks for her Father and her soon to be Groom.
I hunted on two different beaches before finding the perfect pieces that all worked together and the end result was perfect and exactly what the Bride wanted! To the left you can see the Father of the Bride proudly wearing his seaglass cufflinks at the stunning beach wedding in Newquay!
Amber's Keepsake
Lovely Amber messaged me to ask if I could turn a much bigger piece of seaglass into a ring for her, I cut it down & smoothed down the sides before setting it. She had been keeping the piece of glass in her phone case as a good luck charm, her husband had found it when sitting on the beach whilst out walking with their dog, this came recently after some worrying news of a cancer scare Amber had received.
This is worrying news for anyone, especially as there is history of cancer in her family. Amber had some treatment & FANTASTICALLY received the all clear! She then decided to have the glass made into a ring so she wouldn’t lose it & all the luck & love her & her family had poured into the seaglass! All the best to Amber & her family!
Ellie, her Sister & Mum
Ellie had dreamt up the design for the wonderful ring, and sent over screenshots of past rings I've made to show which colours she absolutely loved. She wanted the three pieces of seaglass to represent herself, her sister and her mum as it was going to be a present from both of them to her for her birthday.
The colours work so well together and the three pieces of seaglass sit together perfectly! I loved the challenge of making something new like this ring and the process of discussing the design of the ring with Ellie!
Maddie's Little Piece of a Volcano!
Maddie sent me over a very unique looking rock that her fiancé collected from the top of a volcano called Acatenango in Guatemala! They climbed this together during their year travelling and watched an active volcano erupt from the top! He brought it home and rounded it off so it would be possible for it to be made into a necklace for her as a memory!
Gift for Grandma
A customer messaged me with a very specific and special vision in mind, which I love! It's great working with someone who can see in their head what they want, and working together to get as close to that dream as possible! They wanted a ring with two birthstones in it, one Emerald and one TBC... we were waiting on her second baby's arrival to be sure on the month and which correlating birthstone we would be using! It turned out to be Pearl which just so happened to be a great combination. We discussed the band style and the size of the cabochons (a fiddly 2mm!) and the final result was great! She then gifted the ring to HER mum so she could also have a little piece of her Grandbabies with her!
Hazel's Adventure
Hazel's Dad contacted me to have a special blue piece of seaglass made into a necklace for his daughter. He told me how Hazel had found it in a cove in Portmellon, apparently she's always trying to find the blue glass as "it's the rarest"! Furthermore, she did her first ever snorkel that day and was very brave so as a reward he thought he'd ask me to turn it into something special for her to look back on and remember her special day!
